We have introduced some very basic set theory and some simple counting techniques. Next week will be more interesting.

    union and intercept symbols in lecture notes 14 got messed up, can it be fixed? thx

    Thanks for your report. Are you using Powerpoint 2003 or 2007? We will try to figure out why is it so. (I don't have problems viewing the notes on my computer w/ powerpoint 2003)
